I'm running for Wisconsin State Assembly District 14 to make a difference for you. My parents immigrated to the United States from the Philippines in hopes to find a better life. They raised me and my siblings in West Allis because of the wonderful people, neighborhoods, and opportunities here. I grew up in a union household right here in District 14. My parents instilled in me the importance of giving back and serving others, and these are the values that drive me with everything I do. From my time in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, to my service on the West Allis Common Council, and with my work in public education, I have the experience needed to make real change in our community. Together, we can fight climate change, invest in our public schools, expand healthcare access, and advocate for good-paying union jobs. I believe in a Wisconsin where all people, from every background, can live and thrive. I believe better is possible. I look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail and hope to earn your support. Thank you!
  • As a former Alderman in West Allis, I understand the needs of our community. I’ve been a progressive champion leading the efforts combating climate change, supporting affordable housing initiatives, and advocating for racial justice and LGBTQ+ rights. I’ve been on the frontlines of fighting to make our community the best it can for all people to succeed and make our community a place we can all be proud to call home.
  • Inspired by the idea of service for our community, I served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. I proudly served and conducted my drill all across Wisconsin from Fort Atkinson to Watertown to Camp Douglas and Fort McCoy. I understand the importance of servant leadership.
  • I'm excited to work alongside District 14 residents to create positive change. My priorities are supporting families, investing in our future, and co-creating a strong and resilient community. I believe in protecting the environment, investing in public education, supporting affordable housing initiatives, and expanding access to childcare and healthcare. I look forward to working together to make our community the best it can be for everyone.
I’m passionate about environmental policy. Climate change is an existential threat, and I believe it's the most important issue of our lifetime.

I’m also very passionate about economic policy and public finance. I believe budgets are moral documents and that we need to look out for the financial wellbeing of all people no matter their background. We need to increase access to affordable housing, tax the rich and wealthy, cancel student loan debt, make healthcare more accessible, and increase funding for public education.

I also deeply care about social policy. I believe in advocating for racial justice and equity, expanding voting rights, fighting for reproductive rights, and advancing civil rights and LGBTQ+ rights.
I believe it is important for our elected officials to have integrity, drive, love, compassion, and dedication. I believe elected officials need to be deeply rooted in the community and must be collaborators in order to push forward transformational change. Elected officials must be able to build meaningful relationships and coalitions in order to make a positive difference. Elected officials should be public servants who put the community first. Elected officials should be committed to reimagining what is possible and then must be able to organize to make real change.
I have the heart of an organizer. I believe in the power of people coming together around shared values and common goals to make a meaningful difference in our community. I have deep ties to my community, and I have the relationships to bring transformational change. I also have the track record and experience to be a successful office holder. Through my time in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, to my service on the West Allis Common Council, and my work in education, I'm excited to work alongside District 14 residents to create positive change.
West Allis Common Council President Kevin Haass, State Representative Francesca Hong, State Representative Alex Joers, State Representative Lisa Subeck, New Politics

My story begins with my parents. Mom and Dad immigrated to the United States from the Philippines in hopes of finding a better life. My parents believed in the American Dream and they instilled in me the values of hard work, giving back to the community and service to others.

While at UW-Madison, This sense of duty led me to enlist in the National Guard. I have years of experience in political finance, building progressive power, and now I work on nonprofit development for an environmental group called Wisconsin Conservation Voters. I joined WCV because I believe climate change is the most pressing issue of our time.

As an Alderman in my hometown, West Allis, I’ve been a progressive champion leading the efforts combating climate change, supporting affordable housing initiatives, and advocating for racial justice and LGBTQ+ rights. I’ve been on the frontlines of fighting to make our community the best it can be.

With my experiences as a veteran, a political and nonprofit finance expert, and with my record as a progressive champion, I have what it takes to be a treasurer that can help us secure a more prosperous and sustainable future for all Wisconsinites.

  • Economic Security. Every Wisconsinite deserves to achieve their full potential and they need good paying jobs, stable housing, and affordable healthcare to accomplish this.
  • Taxpayer Transparency. You deserve to know where your tax dollars are going and I'll be a strong fiscal watchdog to hold our spending accountable.
  • Investing in Wisconsin's Future. As State Treasurer, I'll be a progressive champion fighting to invest in our values and do everything we can to combat climate change, improve public education, and so much more.
I’m passionate about environmental policy. Climate change is an existential threat to the entire planet and I believe it's the most important issue of our lifetime. I'm a strong believer that we need to be doing everything we can, at all levels of government, to protect our environment and combat climate change. This means investing in renewable energy, ending the use of fossil fuels, and making sure we achieve true climate justice by investing in marginalized communities that have been the hardest hit by the effects of climate change.

I’m also very passionate about economic policy and public finance. I believe budgets are moral documents and that we need to look out for the financial wellbeing of all people no matter their background. We need to increase access to affordable housing, tax the rich and wealthy, cancel student loan debt, increase retirement security, make healthcare more accessible, and increase funding for public education.

I also deeply care about social policy and inequality. I believe in advocating for racial justice and equity, expanding voting rights, fighting for reproductive rights, and advancing civil rights and LGBTQ+ rights. I hope to make Wisconsin the best it can be for everyone.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Wisconsin

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
