Biography
Angelo Pasciuti was born in San Jose, California. Pasciuti served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2002 to 2022. He earned an associate degree from Coastline Community College in 2017, a bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2020, and a graduate degree from the University of Southern California in 2022.[1]

Angelo participated in four tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, fighting in some of the war’s most brutal battles. His experiences during these deployments, including the death of close friends and comrades, cemented his steadfast belief in service to others before one’s self.
In the second half of his military career, Angelo shifted to the role of educator and operational architect. Through his unwavering belief in the ability of the next generation to be better than those who came before, he revolutionized Marine Corps education culture while earning an MBA from USC.
Angelo has an understanding - developed through hard-won experience - that the core of authentic leadership is grounded in a solid moral compass. Shaped by his family, values, and service to his country, his central principle of service over self is driven by a deep commitment to the greater community.
Angelo has delivered fundamental change to the federal government through revolutionary thinking and decades of service within complex organizations. Fresh, objective perspectives are required to combat entrenched ideals and policies, and he plans to take the same bold initiative and decisiveness to address challenges in San José.
- Unity in Governance: I am committed to cultivating a collaborative and transparent decision-making process led by data and performance measures. I will actively engage with stakeholders from all sectors of our community, ensuring that diverse perspectives are heard and respected. By fostering a culture of open dialogue and cooperation, I aim to create an inclusive and representative governance model that reflects the needs and aspirations of every resident. Throughout my career in the Marines, I have prided myself on building solutions and taking action rather than finger-pointing, and I intend to lead as such on the City Council.
- Accessibility to Government: Accessibility to our elected officials is the cornerstone of a representative democracy. I will prioritize communication with our city's residents and businesses by establishing various communication channels, such as regular town hall meetings, open office hours, and online engagement through digital platforms and social media. Transparency is vital, with clear information on city decisions and diverse advisory committees. Updates, newsletters, and progress reports will keep residents and businesses informed. I aim to create a culture of open communication and active engagement to ensure that all residents' voices are heard in decision-making.
- Democracy as a way of life: I firmly believe in the importance of a free and fair representation process where every voice is heard and valued. Ensuring fundamental human rights: I am dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to essential human rights such as education, healthcare, nourishment, housing, privacy, and the opportunity for upward mobility. Embracing inalienable rights: At my core, I believe that every human being has the right to their own unique idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I will champion individual freedoms while recognizing the importance of not infringing on the opportunities and rights of others.
One-size-fits-all, all services do not work. We must consider the lived experience of the person we're trying to help; I'll advocate for tailored solutions, as well as establishing a multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional task force with a centralized leadership committee that identifies areas of responsibility through transparency, reducing waste/overlap of services, and creates data-driven accountability. I will ask this simple question: How do you measure success? I firmly believe that by combining scalable solutions, empathetic strategies informed by lived experience, and enhanced collaboration with other agencies, we can make substantial progress in our collective effort to alleviate homelessness in our community.
