I have spent my life dedicated to service, advocacy, and leadership in our community. As a small business owner, nonprofit leader, and longtime community volunteer, I have experience collaboratively solving problems and using resources wisely.

My deep roots in District 9 go beyond my work—I’m a parent of 3 children in NEISD schools, a former PTA president, a graduate of Leadership NEISD, and an appointee on the Efficiency Committee. I’ve also served for over 7 years on the Mayor’s Fitness Council, where I co-chair the Communications Committee, promoting health and wellness initiatives across San Antonio. I also serve on the board of Community Housing Resource Partners, ensuring families have housing they can afford.

I’m running for City Council because I believe in responsible, results-driven leadership. My priorities include improving public safety, keeping taxes and fees low, and fostering smart growth that prioritizes infrastructure and community input. I want to ensure that city services are accessible, efficient, and responsive to residents’ needs.

I’m proud to have the endorsements of Councilman John Courage, Judge Nelson Wolff, Philanthropist Gordon Hartman, Former NEISD Board President Shannon Grona, Former NEISD Superintendent Dr. Richard A. Middleton, Northside and North East American Federation of Teachers, the AFL-CIO CLC, and the City Employees Union AFSCME.

I’m ready to put my experience and dedication to work in City Hall and would be honored by your vote.
  • My deep commitment to public service, extensive leadership experience, and proven ability to bring people together make me uniquely qualified for this position. I am focused on public safety, fiscal responsibility, and smart growth that reflects our community’s needs. Our District 9 staff are known to be the best in the city, and I hope to keep those who want to stay so there is no disruption in service and we are ready on day one. Additionally, I am the only candidate committed to keeping popular programs like participatory budgeting and civic tours of San Antonio, and maintaining a satellite office at the Walker Ranch Senior Center.
  • I have a proven track record of service and leadership in District 9. From the partnerships I’ve built through my company with the Parks Department and Humane Society to my work on the Mayor’s Fitness Council and my involvement in NEISD and various nonprofit boards, I have spent years actively working to improve our community. I understand our district’s challenges and will bring experience and dedication to City Hall. I believe it is important to elect leaders who have actively put in the work to improve our community.
  • Public safety is my top priority. I will work to increase police patrols, improve emergency response times, and ensure our neighborhoods remain safe. I am committed to responsible growth and smart development that prioritizes infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life. I will work to keep taxes and fees manageable, ensure our community has the amenities we need, and make sure community members have a voice in decisions that impact our future. District 9 has strong, vibrant neighborhoods, and we must prioritize taking care of them at City Hall. Together, we will make our district stronger—one neighborhood at a time.
I am deeply passionate about public health and wellness, ensuring our community has access to the resources needed to live healthier, safer lives. From my years on the Mayor’s Fitness Council to my work in the nonprofit sector, I’ve championed initiatives that promote well-being and improve quality of life.

I am also committed to lowering costs for working families, whether it’s making childcare more affordable, keeping property taxes and utility rates manageable, or ensuring our city services remain efficient and accessible. Families shouldn’t have to struggle to make ends meet, and I will work to implement policies that ease financial burdens and create more opportunities for all.
City Council is the closest level of government to the community, making it uniquely positioned to address local concerns in real time. This office plays a critical role in solving problems that impact daily life, from public safety and infrastructure to economic development and community services. I am interested in this position because it provides a direct opportunity to improve the quality of life for all of our neighbors.
An elected official must be trustworthy to ensure they act with integrity and keep their commitments to the community. They must be empathetic in order to understand and advocate for the needs of all residents, and inquisitive to ensure they seek out the best solutions, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions. They must also be fair to ensure they govern equitably, considering diverse perspectives to create policies that benefit the entire community.
I have the ability to connect with and get along with almost anyone, which allows me to build strong relationships and foster collaboration. I am a good listener, ensuring that I understand the needs and concerns of my constituents before making decisions. As a creative problem-solver, I have demonstrated through my businesses and community work that I can develop innovative and practical solutions. My leadership experience and commitment to service make me well-prepared to represent District 9 effectively.
The core responsibilities of a City Council member are to be a true representative of constituents and to respond when they need us. Often this means filling potholes, assisting to help stop speeding in a neighborhood, or helping when there is a missed trash pickup. But we must also be there to represent residents for bigger issues like infrastructure needs, gathering input on a proposed development, and advocating for more resources where we are lacking. This means actively listening, being accessible, and ensuring that community voices are heard. It also requires taking residents' opinions and experiences into account when making decisions, advocating for their needs, and working to create policies that improve their daily lives. Effective leadership is about service, responsiveness, and accountability.
City Council members must have strong communication and listening skills to engage with constituents effectively, problem-solving abilities to address complex city issues, and fiscal responsibility to ensure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently. Experience in collaboration and consensus-building is also critical, as well as a deep understanding of local government and community needs. Through my experience in public relations management, nonprofit management, and community leader roles, I have honed my skills in each of these areas and feel well-prepared to take on this role.
Councilman John Courage, Judge Nelson Wolff, Philanthropist Gordon Hartman, Former NEISD Superintendent Dr. Richard A. Middleton, Former NEISD Board President Shannon Grona, The Honorable Lawrence Romo (USAF), San Antonio AFL-CIO Central Labor Council, Northside and North East American Federation of Teachers, AFSCME San Antonio Local 2021 City Workers Union
We are entrusted with managing and budgeting tax dollars, so transparency is profoundly important. Residents deserve to know how their money is being spent and to have confidence that funds are being used responsibly. Government officials must also be accountable for the decisions we make, ensuring that spending aligns with the community’s priorities and needs. I believe in open communication, clear reporting, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
