|My deep roots in District 9 go beyond my work—I’m a parent of 3 children in NEISD schools, a former PTA president, a graduate of Leadership NEISD, and an appointee on the Efficiency Committee. I’ve also served for over 7 years on the Mayor’s Fitness Council, where I co-chair the Communications Committee, promoting health and wellness initiatives across San Antonio. I also serve on the board of Community Housing Resource Partners, ensuring families have housing they can afford.
I’m running for City Council because I believe in responsible, results-driven leadership. My priorities include improving public safety, keeping taxes and fees low, and fostering smart growth that prioritizes infrastructure and community input. I want to ensure that city services are accessible, efficient, and responsive to residents’ needs.
I’m proud to have the endorsements of Councilman John Courage, Judge Nelson Wolff, Philanthropist Gordon Hartman, Former NEISD Board President Shannon Grona, Former NEISD Superintendent Dr. Richard A. Middleton, Northside and North East American Federation of Teachers, the AFL-CIO CLC, and the City Employees Union AFSCME.
I’m ready to put my experience and dedication to work in City Hall and would be honored by your vote.- My deep commitment to public service, extensive leadership experience, and proven ability to bring people together make me uniquely qualified for this position. I am focused on public safety, fiscal responsibility, and smart growth that reflects our community’s needs. Our District 9 staff are known to be the best in the city, and I hope to keep those who want to stay so there is no disruption in service and we are ready on day one. Additionally, I am the only candidate committed to keeping popular programs like participatory budgeting and civic tours of San Antonio, and maintaining a satellite office at the Walker Ranch Senior Center.
- I have a proven track record of service and leadership in District 9. From the partnerships I’ve built through my company with the Parks Department and Humane Society to my work on the Mayor’s Fitness Council and my involvement in NEISD and various nonprofit boards, I have spent years actively working to improve our community. I understand our district’s challenges and will bring experience and dedication to City Hall. I believe it is important to elect leaders who have actively put in the work to improve our community.
- Public safety is my top priority. I will work to increase police patrols, improve emergency response times, and ensure our neighborhoods remain safe. I am committed to responsible growth and smart development that prioritizes infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life. I will work to keep taxes and fees manageable, ensure our community has the amenities we need, and make sure community members have a voice in decisions that impact our future. District 9 has strong, vibrant neighborhoods, and we must prioritize taking care of them at City Hall. Together, we will make our district stronger—one neighborhood at a time.
I am also committed to lowering costs for working families, whether it’s making childcare more affordable, keeping property taxes and utility rates manageable, or ensuring our city services remain efficient and accessible. Families shouldn’t have to struggle to make ends meet, and I will work to implement policies that ease financial burdens and create more opportunities for all.
