I am a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and a candidate for Los Angeles County Superior Court. As the child of Greek immigrants, I was fortunate to be raised by parents who instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to public service. Over the past two decades as a prosecutor, I have handled more than 70 jury trials, including numerous murder and gang-related cases, giving me extensive courtroom experience. In addition to my trial work, I have been a strong advocate for mental health awareness, particularly for our veteran community. I have worked extensively with alternative sentencing programs, including mental health diversion, veterans court, and collaborative courts, helping guide appropriate candidates into treatment while maintaining accountability and protecting public safety.
  • Access to justice is fundamental to maintaining public trust in our courts. Every person who comes before the court—whether represented by counsel or not—deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and have their matter resolved fairly. Equally important is ensuring that cases move forward without unnecessary delay. Justice delayed can create hardship for victims, defendants, families, and communities. A well-run courtroom should be prepared, efficient, and focused on resolving matters in a timely manner while still giving every case the careful attention it deserves. My goal would be to ensure that the courtroom operates with professionalism, fairness, and efficiency so that there is always meaningful and timely access to justice.
  • Fairness and equality are fundamental to the role of a judge. Every person who enters the courtroom—regardless of their background, resources, or circumstances—deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and to know their case will be decided based solely on the law and the facts. A judge must listen carefully, remain impartial, and ensure that all parties have the opportunity to be heard. Maintaining a respectful, professional courtroom environment helps build confidence in the process. My commitment would be to uphold the rule of law and ensure that everyone who comes before the court receives the same fairness, consideration, and equal treatment under the law.
  • Impartiality is one of the most important qualities a judge must bring to the bench. Regardless of a judge’s prior professional experience, the role of the court is to serve as a neutral and independent decision-maker. Every case must be evaluated on its own facts and the law that applies to it, without preconceived notions or outside influence. A judge must listen carefully to both sides, ensure that all parties are heard, and make thoughtful, well-reasoned decisions based solely on the evidence presented in court. Maintaining impartiality is essential to preserving public confidence that our courts are fair, independent, and committed to equal justice under the law.
Homelessness, immigration, and public safety are important issues in Los Angeles County because they affect the daily lives and well-being of millions of residents. Los Angeles is one of the most diverse counties in the country, and immigration is deeply connected to the cultural and economic fabric of our communities. At the same time, homelessness remains a significant challenge that impacts vulnerable individuals as well as neighborhoods throughout the county. Public safety is also essential to ensuring that families, businesses, and communities can thrive. Addressing these issues thoughtfully and collaboratively is important to maintaining safe, stable, and healthy communities across Los Angeles County.
