As a parent of two children in FBISD, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to have strong leadership in our schools. I want to ensure that every child has access to a high-quality education and that our schools are places where all students, teachers and staff feel supported and valued.

I have lived in Fort Bend since 2010. For the last 15 years, I have immersed myself in the community - through work and volunteer activities. Professionally, I have worked primarily for nonprofits and local government, connecting resources for programs and projects to strengthen communities. On a volunteer level, I have been extremely involved in the community, serving in leadership positions on boards and developing connections through various community leadership programs.

Since my children entered school in 2019, I have been involved in PTO as well as active with FBISD issues - attending school board meetings to learn about the activities that affect our students, writing emails to board members on specific topics, speaking and organizing other speakers at board meetings on board action items that affect our students and staff. I don’t just sit and wait for things to happen - I work to make them happen!
  • Strengthening Schools, Strengthening Communities A strong school district not only benefits students but also enhances property values and community well-being. I am committed to investing in traditional public education to create a foundation for long-term success, rather than dismantling it.
  • Removing Politics from the Boardroom Education should be about students, not politics. Recent board discussions and votes have been distracted by divisive culture wars. I am committed to fostering inclusivity and focusing on what truly matters—improving educational outcomes.
  • Improving Special Education Special education enrollment in FBISD has grown significantly over the past decade without adequate state funding. It’s critical that we expand access to resources, comply with federal and state regulations, and provide tailored support to ensure every student with disabilities can thrive, while also supporting our Special ed staff.

My first job was delivering newspapers in junior high (middle school) in Joliet, Illinois. I did it for about a year. I delivered the daily paper and the Sunday paper. It was good money, and a bit of work, for a 13-year-old.
As a Trustee, to build a relationship with parents in the district, I will do the following:

1) Open & Transparent Communication - I will work with the District's Communications team to ensure communication channels and community meetings are accessible, utilizing various platforms.
2) Regular Community Engagement - I will try to host regular town halls, listening sessions, or informational meetings, both in person and virtually, to engage with parents from all parts of the district.
3) Culturally Responsive Outreach - In a diverse district, it’s crucial to ensure that all parents, regardless of their background or language, feel included. I will work with Admin to ensure that outreach efforts are culturally sensitive, and provide translation services and materials in multiple languages to reach families who may face language barriers.
4) Parent Advisory Committees - I will advocate for more or different parent advisory committees or councils that represent the diversity of the district.

5) Providing Support & Resources for Families - I will work with the Admin team to ensure resources are available to help parents navigate the school system, such as informational workshops, resource guides, and access to counseling services.
