Three of the seven seats on the Pittsylvania County Public Schools school board in Virginia were up for by-district general election on November 7, 2017. Incumbent Charles Miller Jr. did not file to run for re-election, which left the Banister District seat open for a newcomer. Raymond Ramsey won the seat after running unopposed. Incumbent Calvin Doss defeated challenger Anita Royston in the race for the Callands-Gretna District seat. In the race for the Dan River District seat, Cassandra Crump defeated Gayle Barts and incumbent W. Neal Oakes.[1]
