Governor Jim Justice appointed Hamilton to the House of Delegates on April 26, 2023, to replace Danielle Walker (D).
Biography
Anitra Hamilton graduated from Mount View High School. She earned bachelor's degrees from West Virginia University in psychology in 2000, biology in 2001, and nursing in 2004. Her career experience includes working in healthcare.[1]
Hamilton has served as the president of the NAACP for Morgantown and Kingwood. She has also served as the vice president of the WVU Council on Gender Equity and as the minister of Agape Life in Fairmont.[2]
