Ann-Marie Carruth
Ann-Marie Carruth (Republican Party) was a judge of the Texas 72nd District Court. She assumed office on January 24, 2021. She left office on December 31, 2022.
Carruth (Republican Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Texas 72nd District Court. She lost in the Republican primary on March 1, 2022.
Carruth was appointed to the district court on January 11, 2021, by Gov. Greg Abbott (R). She was sworn in on January 24, 2021.[1][2]
Carruth is a former judge of the Lubbock County Court. She replaced David Nelson, who passed away in July 2018.[3]
Education
Carruth received her undergraduate education from Texas Tech University and her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. At the time of her appointment to the district court, she had been pursuing a master's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.[1]
