Ann E. O'Shea
Ann E. O'Shea was an acting justice for the Kings County Family Court in New York. She was appointed to this position in 2005. She also served on the New York City Civil Court beginning in 2004, following her election. She was re-elected to that court in 2013.[1][2] She was also assigned to the New York County Supreme Court, Civil Term.[3] Due to New York's constitutional age limit for judges, O'Shea retired in 2019.

2019
O'Shea’s seat was on the ballot in 2019 due to the state's constitutional age limit for judges. A new judge was chosen for the seat on November 5, 2019.[4]
2013
O'Shea ran for re-election to the New York City Civil Court, New York County (Manhattan), Countywide seat. General: She was elected in the general election on November 5, 2013, with 23.7 percent of the vote. John J. Kelley, Dakota Ramseur and Mary V. Rosado were also on the ballot, competing for four open seats.[2][5]
Education
Judge O'Shea attended Dunbarton College of the Holy Cross for her Bachelor of Arts and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University for her J.D.[6]
Career
O'Shea began her career in 1981 as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge T.F. Gilroy Daly. In 1984, she became a partner of the firm Cohen, Weiss and Simon, LLP. She worked in that capacity until 2000. From 2000 through 2003, she was the chief law clerk for Justice Ernst Rosenberger of the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division. She joined the Civil Court in 2004 and was then appointed to the Family Court the following year.[1][3]
