Ann Jennings was the Virginia Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources. Jennings assumed office on September 27, 2021. Jennings left office on January 15, 2022.

Gov. Ralph Northam (D) appointed Jennings to the position on September 22, 2021, to replace Matthew Strickler.[1] She resigned on January 15, 2022, at the end of her term.

Biography

Jennings earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Virginia Tech University and a master's degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences from Texas A&M University. Jennings' career experience includes working as the Virginia director of the Chesapeake Bay Commission, the Virginia executive director of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and a biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.[2]
