An election to recall Town Supervisor Ann Sloane was scheduled for August 27, 2024, in Fifield, Wisconsin. Voters recalled Sloane.[1][2][3] Sloane filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Elections Commission prior to the election.[4]

Recall supporters

According to the recall petition, the reason for the recall effort against Sloane was a "loss of confidence in her ability to perform her duties including unethical behavior and abuse of power." David Ebert filed the petition.[1]

Recall opponents

In a letter, Sloane wrote, "The recall papers fail to identify any specific official failings, leaving those that signed the papers to guess as to my actions or true reasons for the recall."[1]

No specific grounds are required for recall in Wisconsin. To get the recall on the ballot, supporters must collect signatures equal to 25% of the votes cast in the last gubernatorial election in the relevant jurisdiction. Signatures must be collected within 60 days.[5]
