Anna Culley is a justice on the Supreme Court, 11th District in New York. She was elected in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2028.[1]

Culley previously served as a judge for the New York City Civil Court in Queens County.[2][3]

Education

Culley received her B.A. and J.D. from St. John's University.[2]

Career

Culley began her career in 1990 as an assistant district attorney in Queens County. She then worked as a senior court attorney for Judge Anthony Gazzara from 1994 to 1999 and as a principal law clerk to Justice Steven Fisher from 2000 to 2004. She joined the civil court in 2004. She also briefly served as an acting justice of the Queens County Supreme Court in 2010.[2]

Culley ran for election to the Supreme Court, 11th District.
General: She faced Ronald D. Hollie (incumbent), Leslie G. Leach, Carmen Velasquez, John F. Casey, Thomas Benedetto, and William Decandido in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 18.1 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for four open seats. [1] 

2013

Culley ran for re-election to the New York City Civil Court, Queens County (3rd District). General: She won without opposition in the general election on November 5, 2013.[4][3]
