Anne Haskell
Anne Haskell (b. August 12, 1943) is a former Democratic member of the Maine State Senate, representing District 28 from 2012 to 2016.
Haskell was appointed assistant majority leader in July 2013.[1] She served in the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 117 from 1988 to 1994 and from 2006 to 2012.
Haskell did not seek re-election to the Maine State Senate in 2016.
Biography
Haskell's professional experience includes working as Communications Manager for the Finance Authority of Maine, Chief Operating Officer of the Maine International Trade Center and Director of Appointments to Boards and Commissions for former Gov. Angus King.[2]

Elections for the Maine State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 10, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 17, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the primary election was April 28, 2014, and the deadline for non-party candidates to run in the general election was June 2, 2014. District 9 incumbent Anne Haskell was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election. Rose Marie Russell was unopposed in the Republican primary but withdrew afterwards. Danielle Unterreiner was unopposed in the Green Party primary but also withdrew afterwards.[7][8][9][10]

Haskell won election in the 2012 election for Maine State Senate District 9. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012, and defeated Kirsten Martin (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[11]
