Biography

Anne Marie Miles was born in Harlem, New York, and lives in Chicago, Illinois. She earned an MPA in social work from Long Island University in 1977, and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1987. Miles' career experience includes working as a consultant with Local 144 Health Facilities and as an attorney.[1]

The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[2] In the general election for Ward 5, incumbent Leslie A. Hairston defeated Tiffany N. Brooks, Jocelyn Hare, Robin Boyd Clark, Anne Marie Miles and Jedidiah L. Brown.[3] Loretta Lomax was removed from the ballot in December 2014.[4]
