* Future financial sustainability by diversifying the tax base.
  • Fixing the Town's Codes
Fiscal responsibility, budgets and long-term funding strategies are the policy areas I am most passionate. Rapid residential growth has put the town behind in it's infrastructure, roadways, and recreational needs. The 93% residential tax base is placing a financial burden on the town because it is consuming more in services than what is being received in taxes dollars. This is unsustainable and will ultimately lead to higher taxes, decreased service or both unless small, footprint businesses can be attracted to Waxhaw in order to diversify the tax base but first the Zoning
