Anne Thompson is a judge for the St. Tammany Parish Justice Court in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[1] She was elected on November 16, 2013 for a term that expires in 2017.[2]

2013 election

Thompson ran for election to the St. Tammany Parish Justice Court. Primary: She received 27.8 percent of the vote in the primary on October 19, 2013, defeating M. Randall Brown Mary, Mary DeVun and Laurie Pennison.
General: She defeated Darryl M. Taylor in the general election on November 16, 2013, receiving 52.2 percent of the vote.[3][2]

Education

Thompson earned an undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans, going on to receive her J.D. from Loyola University.[4]

Career

Thompson is an attorney with Witt-O'Brien Associates. She previously served as an assistant district attorney for St. Tammany, Jefferson and Orleans Parishes and also gained experience working for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services.[4]

In 2008, Thompson was appointed by the Louisiana Supreme Court to complete an unexpired term as justice of the peace pro tempore.[4]
