|- Not business as usual: We need a leader in Tallahassee that will do the hard work of listening to the community and working with people on all sides- not someone who is beholden to special interests and puts their political party above people.
- Empower Individuals: As a teacher, Annette will work hard for our students and their families. Students are impacted by a lack of investment in education, but also by the problems their families face. We need to empower individuals with education and economic opportunities.
- Strengthen Families: We need to strengthen families by prioritizing economic resilience and expanding access to healthcare.
-Education: Increasing teacher pay across the board. Engaging real-world curriculum for all students, including students with disabilities. Improved awareness/programs/services for students with Autism.
-Healthcare: Expanding Medicaid to the 800,000 Floridians in the coverage gap. Protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions. Supporting youth and senior mental health.
-Economy: Addressing the high cost of living in the district. Consumer protections for rising insurance costs. Supporting minimum wage increases while also supporting small businesses. Making our tax dollars work for us right here in Hialeah, Miami Lakes, and NW Dade, not for special interest.
-Mineblasting: Reducing the impact of mine blasting on homes. Allowing homeowners to be compensated for damages to their homes. Exploring excavation as an alternative to blasting.
-Traffic and Tolls: Reducing tolls and redirecting funds back to our community. Working with localities to bring real solutions to traffic.
