Annette Scippio (Democratic Party) is a member of the Winston-Salem City Council in North Carolina, representing East Ward. She assumed office in 2018. Her current term ends in 2028.

Scippio (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Winston-Salem City Council to represent East Ward in North Carolina. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

Scippio obtained a B.A. in business administration from Howard University and an M.A. in liberal studies from Duke University. At the time of her appointment to the city council, Scippio's professional experience included working as a research manager for several different groups, as a founding director of the Southern Community Bank, and as the executive director of Delta Fine Arts.[1]

Decision to self-quarantine for coronavirus on March 18, 2020

On March 18, 2020, Scippio announced a two-week self-quarantine after attending a conference with two individuals that later tested positive for coronavirus.[2]
