I am a Minnesotan who loves the American dream. I trusted Christ as my Savior as a child, which changed me into the person I am today. I attended Northland International University in WI and Central Baptist Theological Seminary in MN. Throughout my life, I have volunteered to work in my local community to support women and children. I want to serve my larger community by representing their needs on a national level.
  • Build on the best of the past, while reducing the budget and wasteful spending,
  • ...incentivizing American manufacturing to stabilize our economy,
  • ...and equipping America militarily as the world leader on land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace.
I want to uphold the freedoms found in the Constitution of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness by championing a balanced budget, a parents-rights education system, legal gun ownership without government list collecting, American businesses building, America as a net energy exporter, and America as a strong military power ready to face current and future threats.
As a Christian, I look up to the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved and sought out the people who were not valued by others, who needed support, and who wanted answers to life's questions. As the Son of God, He had the unique ability to spiritually heal, which He illustrated to the populous He could do by performing physical miracles. Now, I am not God and cannot do in the exact manner what Jesus did; but I can be His disciple and follow Him by being obedient to the Word of God and by serving others with humbleness in the knowledge that I represent Him. I am His ambassador. In politics, I would also become an ambassador for MN CD 7 to advocate for them in Washington, DC.
Integrity. Civility. Humbleness. Perseverance.

Each Congress member serves his district; thus, the Congress member must be both servant and protector for his constituents.
I am an organized person, trained in research, writing, and logic. I also am a teacher by nature, which can help me communicate with my constituents and co-workers in order to conduct business with understanding and solutions.
My responsibility would be to represent the core freedoms and public interests of the will of the people of the people I represent. This core responsibility also includes preserving the Constitutional system.

The Congress member has a two-part undertaking: (1) Law making and (2) Constituent services.
Besides the Bible, my favorite non-fiction book is James M. Gray's "How to Master the English Bible" and my favorite fiction book is "Elsie Dinsmore," book 1. And of course, whichever book I am reading now is my favorite book. The first book I mentioned I liked because of its simplicity. The second book I like because the character Elsie took what she knew about the Bible and applied it to her life, particularly her understanding of keeping the Lord's Day holy. Also, a little known book is called "The Little Baptist" by JM Martin; it is also worth the read because a good children's book also entertains the adult.
America and Americans are knit together not on ethnicity, religion, or sometimes even language. We are based in the idea of America, the dream of American greatness and goodness. The American dream allows us the chance to test failure and success to achieve our own version of life, liberty, and happiness. I believe that totalitarian governments outside of America want to influence Americans to give up on the idea of America dream for their dreams imposed on America. Combating the influence of totalitarian regimes in our economy, our media, our higher education, and our cyberspace will span over the next decade.
I would seek to be a part of the committee of Foreign Affairs. In helping remove excess legislature and spending and aiding our veterans, I might also like to take part of Oversight and Reform, Rules, and Veterans Affairs.
I have thought about the idea of term limits for members of the House and Senate. The Constitution does not impose term limits. I can see that a “gut reaction” to a longstanding Politician that stands in disagreement with you would be to provide yourself a way to de-throne his rule. But the people voted him into office did not change. They will most likely return to the same type of leader as in the past. Perhaps, the removed Politician can move districts or states in order to continue to fulfill his desire to serve the American people. I think if term limits were imposed on the House and Senate, the best place to discuss that may be within each state to make laws for its own state. Allowing the people to vote whomever they will into office reflects the best republic and reflects the thoughts of the Founding Fathers.
I believe that civility is needed for policy making. I recognize that civility and agreement existed between Democrats and Republicans during FDR's New Deal. In the 1980s, Congress members became polarized, unbending with an outlook of two diametrically opposed bipartite views. Gridlock and procedure has kept Congress from accomplishing tasks, such as passing a balanced, timely budget. However, the events of 2020 and following have united Democrats and Republicans in the desire of preserving our rights in daily life against the Emergency Mandates, in the desire for freedom of information, in the desire for a thriving economy, and in the pursuit of policy that keeps America as the primary world superpower. Those in government have again arrived at a point where civility can resume as we work together to achieve those goals.
