I am a wife, mother of 3 and a registered dental hygienist. I am eager to help give each student the opportunity to learn and develop their best selves in their education.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Parents are the most important relationship and resource to a child. Parents are the authority in the values they wish to instill into their children.
• Transparency is essential in establishing a positive parent-child-educator relationship.
• Teach a child HOW to think, not what to think. Activism has no place in a child’s education.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Keeping policy focused on supporting academic proficiency/excellence.

Keeping policy/language/curriculum focused on supporting each student/educator individually, as opposed to labeling them in different social groups.

Making all policy transparent, open and with respect to the parent/child relationship and parent/child/educator partnership.

Curriculum transparency.

Choice and accountability.

Permission slips rather than opt out forms.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I do my best to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I can always find truth in his life and teachings to follow.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Integrity. Love of country. Conviction in doing what’s right, even when it’s the unpopular choice. Values peace. Not afraid to be strong and hold people accountable for their actions. Peace in strength. Preserve and respect the constitution of the US. Will protect the rights of the people.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

Integrity. Passion. Compassion. Empathy. Determination. Open. Approachable. Steady. Steadfast. Educated. Service. Moral.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Advocate for each student. Each student deserves the opportunity to learn as much as possible and become who they want to be. Advocate for educators. Make sure they have whet they need to be the mentor they need to be. Advocate for parent rights in education.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I’d like to be known as someone who valued each person and did what I could to help them. That I went out of my way to bring warmth and love to others. That I did not waver in my morals. That I loved unconditionally.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

9/11. I was 19 years old when it happened.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

First job after college was a registered dental hygienist. I was at my first office for almost 2 years.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Matilda, by Roald Dahl. That story will forever by my favorite.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Black Widow, except I’d be nicer because that’s just who I am. I want to be friends with all the Avengers.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

“I Want it That Way.” Backstreet Boys

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

I struggled with severe, chronic post partum depression. Bringing children into this world was incredibly hard for me. But my desire to have and raise a family was stronger than my physical and emotional trials. And I have an incredible support system, which also got me through it.
