Approach to the law

Our judicial process is an integral and important aspect of our democracy. What happens in a court influences many people within and beyond the courtroom. A judge is accountable to the individuals in court and the community at large. As a judge I will be a public servant who maintains order, fairness and justice for all people who enter the courtroom. I will ensure that the courtroom process is fair and impartial. I will guarantee that all present, plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, lawyers and court staff are treated with respect and dignity. As a judge my decisions will be informed and equitable. I will guide the court proceedings, listen to all positions, and evaluate all evidence, before ruling on the issues. I have devoted my career to protecting peoples' constitutional rights. I am qualified and ready to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Santa Clara County Superior Court judge. If elected I will uphold and honor the public trust placed in my hands. I will serve the people and follow the law.[5]
