Indianapolis, Indiana: Last week, on November 23, 2011, another hearing took place in the ongoing attempts to unseat Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White[1][2] This is the latest in a series of hearings; the controversy is over whether White committed voter fraud in May 2010 by voting in a precinct where he did not live.[3] White was indicted in March 2011 by two Hamilton County special prosecutors for voting from his ex-wife's address in the May 2010 Republican primary.[3] White did not attend the hearing, though he was acting as his own attorney. He did file a brief in advance of the hearing in his defense, and he later stated to Wish TV that he had mistaken the time of the hearing, believing it was to take place at 1:00 pm instead of 9:00 am.[2][1]
The proceedings were heard by judge Louis F. Rosenberg of the Marion County Circuit Court. Judge Rosenberg promises to deliver a verdict in the case 20 to 30 days from the date of the most recent hearing.[2]
