Mr. Sabio has decades of experience in the Security and Intelligence Industry from a long and distinguished career in the US Navy, US Secret Service, and Central Intelligence Agency. After his federal service, Mr. Sabio successful transitioned into the private sector as a small business owner.

He is an acclaimed writer for Law Enforcement Today, serves as the Technical Committee Chair for the Board of Executive Protection Professional creation of the Executive Protection ANSI standards, and recently conducted a single operator extraction of a US National out of Ukraine during the height of the invasion featured in People.com and Law Enforcement Today.

Mr. Sabio's passion to serve and protect the safety of others has him speaking openly on the current issues facing our communities especially with our children. His priorities are the safety of our kids and teachers at school, providing mental health resources to our children in the wake of the COVID school closures, and bring academic excellence back to Fairfax County Public School.
  • Protecting parents' rights is a priority. Schools should concentrate on education and leave teaching family values to the parents.
  • The safety of our children is an issue that crosses all political lines. Tony will use his decades of professional experience to ensure FCPS develops a security program that will be considered the "gold standard" in the industry.
  • Mental health is an epidemic that is affecting our children nationwide. As a Foster Parent that adopted an "At-Risk" teen from the Fairfax system, he learned through the program how to work and connect with teens. He will work with the county to expand that successful program for teachers and parents. He will expand the mentorship programs into schools connecting our children with successful adults who will help them grow.
The rights of parents and students is under assault with activist groups and politicians pushing their own agenda over others. We need "common sense" policies that will ensure the rights of parents are protected and shift the power of the school board and administration back to the people.

One right does not outweigh another, and we should not push policies that infringe on individual rights while giving to precedence another.
Along my journey in life, I had mentors that made me who I am today. I represent each part of them, and my success is their success.
I believe in service to the people. That is what I dedicated my life to in the military and federal government and what I will bring to the office.
Each elected official represents the people and not one segment. As an elected official I work for the people.
I want to be defined by what I gave to others vices personal achievements.
At the age of 16, a single night forever altered the course of my life. Growing up in the impoverished neighborhoods of San Diego, California, life was a struggle, but that particular night would prove to be a defining moment I would never forget.

It was past midnight, and I found myself walking alone on the dimly lit streets. As I approached an intersection, a vehicle pulled up beside me. The backseat window rolled down and shotgun was pointed directly at me. In that tense moment, everything from my past flashed before my eyes, reminding me of the hardships I had faced and the aspirations I held for a better life.

The person behind the weapon demanded to know what I claimed, a question laden with the implications of gang affiliation that held great weight in my neighborhood. As fear coursed through my veins, I felt an overwhelming sense of humility. I explained that it was my birthday and that I harbored no ill intentions toward anyone. All I wanted was to return home safely.

In an act that I can only attribute to the grace of God, the occupants of the vehicle decided to move on. The shotgun was lowered, and the car sped away. In that moment, a wave of gratitude and relief washed over me. I had narrowly escaped a potentially life-threatening situation, and it was crystal clear that this incident was a turning point. It marked the instant when I recognized the stark reality of the environment I was living in – an environment characterized by violence, danger, and the constant threat to one's well-being.

From that point forward, I underwent a profound transformation. The fear and vulnerability I experienced that night fueled a fire within me. It became abundantly clear that the path I had been on was not one I wanted to continue down. I realized that I had dreams and aspirations that were far bigger than the circumstances I had grown up in.

The primary job of the School Board member is to represent all the people in his/her district. To provide accountability of the school system and ensure policies and procedures are in-line with the will of the people.
Fairfax County - Providence District
Meeting the needs will come from actively engaging with all of the community and finding was to collaborate with people of opposing opinions.
Everyone regardless of if they voted for me or not will have a voice. I will listen to their concerns and work on building common sense initiatives that build bridges rather than destroying them.
A good teacher is measured on the success of their students preparing them for success outside of high school. It is a holistic approach that involves the parents.
Day one we will do a complete audit of the current budget to see where the tax dollars are currently going. From that, we will develop a priority list of areas of concern and shift funding into those areas if needed. This process will be transparent to the public and will involve community engagement.
I learned in my time in the military and federal government that each life is precious. We need to develop common sense security solutions with that in mind.
Mental health is an epidemic that is affecting our children nationwide.

As a Foster Parent that adopted an "At-Risk" teen from the Fairfax system, I learned through the program how to work and connect with teens.

I will work with the county to expand that successful program for teachers and parents. I will expand the mentorship programs into schools connecting our children with successful adults who will help them grow.
We need to create a learning environment that concentrates on developing a career path for each individual student. That could be in the form of traditional colleges or developing vocational pathways that gears students to success beyond high school.
I will hold more open town forums where I can listen to the concerns of parents outside of any school board meetings. From that I will work with parents on solving their issues through trust and collaboration.
I want to create an atmosphere that empowers the front-line teachers to teach the curriculum they dedicated their lives to. That will happen by removing classroom requirements that take away from that mission. As a school board member, I will raise the pay for teachers to a competitive market level and add an addition 5 percent to that number, I will work with the Board of Supervisors to create a living assistance program for teachers so they would not have to commute from outside the district to work, and I will ensure that teachers will not have to pay out of their own pockets for classroom essential materials that is needed to benefit the children they are instructing.
