Anthony Babauta was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent Guam's At-Large Congressional District.[1] Babauta was defeated by incumbent Madeleine Z. Bordallo in the Democratic primary on August 27, 2016.[2]

On October 27, 2021, Babauta was sworn in as the chairman of the Democratic Party of Guam.[3] He served in that position until March 2025.[4]

Incumbent Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D) defeated Felix Camacho (R) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Bordallo defeated Anthony Babauta in the Democratic primary, while Camacho defeated Margaret Metcalfe to win the Republican nomination. The primary elections took place on August 27, 2016.[1][2]
