Anthony Bermudez was an at-large member of the Perth Amboy Public Schools school board in New Jersey. He first won election in 2013. Bermudez lost his bid for re-election in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
Bermudez graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1992. He served in the United States Army during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Bermudez is currently an officer with the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office.[1]

Three of the nine seats on the Perth Amboy Public Schools school board were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Randy Convery, Junior Iglesia, and Tashi Vazquez won election to the three seats on the board by defeating incumbents Samuel Lebreault, Israel Varela, and Anthony Bermudez, as well as challengers Ruben Cruz and Hattie Harrell.[2]
