A working man fighting for working families. As a husband and father of two children in public schools, I understand the struggles facing working Hoosier families. It's time to take the power that was so freely given to the corporations in Indiana back. For too long corporate profits and state budget surpluses have been the focus of legislation. These profits are made on the backs of Hoosiers and are put before the well-being and health of those same people.
  • Data centers and battery storage facilities need to be looked at from the standard of health and environmental impact before being considered for revenue.
  • Utilities should not be raising costs when they are making record profits. There needs to be a reasonable cap on rate increases and charges. These rate increases should be determined based on costs for the utility company.
  • Worker's rights. Hoosier families are struggling and the state minimum wage has not been increased in 17 years. It needs to be increased based on acceptable inflation data. Teenagers should not be forced to choose between school and work. Limitations need to be reinstated for workers still in school.
Lack of regulations protecting Hoosier families from corporate greed. Environmental protections need to be stronger and considered before these profits.
