My name is Anthony Celata. I grew up in Medford Massachusetts and graduated form the Medford Vocational Technical High School in 2007 and I've been an electrician ever since. I care deeply about our country and the people in it. I believe that we all have a right to transparency in our government and that government should benefit the American people far more than it currently does.
  • STOP electing the rich and well connected to govern us all! The rich and well connected have taken over our government for THEIR benefit NOT the American people's. Its time to truly take our country back from those who use our government to personally benefit themselves and their friends!
  • This is not just a campaign for my election, this is a campaign for the American people! Once elected, we will be the LOUDEST sitting member of Congress advocating for the working class of Americans. Together we will seek out corruption and all those who turn a blind eye to it. We will start a movement across the country by showing the American people what it means to be transparent and govern in a way that benefit the American citizens directly! Future candidates will have no choice but to emulate or be defeated!
  • Communication is CRITICAL to a functioning nation. Once elected, I will create a new standard of communication from which ALL members of Congress will be measured by. With regularly scheduled live streams, the American people will have direct access to myself and my team so we can collaborate together and build a better future for ALL Americans!
Education, taxation, Representation, Clean Energy, The Future of Clean Energy, Jobs, National Debt, and so much more!
Jamie Raskin. One day I hope to have as much historical and political experience as he does now. He conducts himself in a professional manner and is highly educated when it comes to our constitution and government.
What I would recommend to someone who wants to understand my political philosophy is to look at yourself. We all know what is right and what wrong. We just need to elect people who are willing and able to do right by the American people.
Honesty and integrity. If we had honest elected officials who would not lie to the American people we wouldn't have such bad but rightfully deserved trust issues with our government.
Honesty and the ability to admit when I'm wrong coupled with the ability to support a better idea when one comes along.
Honesty, Communication, and the ability to admit when you are wrong. I strongly believe the ability to admit when you are wrong is a characteristic that would go a long way in improving the relations between American citizens and our government.
Uniting the country so we no longer have a political divide amongst Americans.
Unfortunately that would be the Columbine High School shooting. I was 10 years old when it happened, just about a week after my birthday. I we had a moment of silence in the morning for the victims.
My first job was at a Stop & Shop gas station as a teenager and I was there for about 2 years
My favorite book is the Machinery's Handbook. This book is filled with so much information that's very helpful around the shop, I've learned so much of the years simply by looking things up in this book.
I would have to say Super Mam for all his abilities, one could do so much good in this world with the power of Super Man.
I listen to a lot of public radio and I'd have to say the theme song to Boston Public Radio.
Like many Americans it has been a struggle making enough money to live comfortably and not paycheck to paycheck. Although I am significantly better at it as I've grown older, I still try to do better.
The U.S, House of Representatives is where laws are created. This makes it very unique as its often the center of media attention being that this is the place that makes the laws we all have to follow.
I believe it can be beneficial but that its not necessary for representatives to have previous experience.
The greatest challenges I see are climate change and the political divide. We American have far more in common than we realize. Politicians take advantage of our differences and use them as reelection machines to personally benefit themselves and their friends. Its time to put an end to this once and for all.
Yes I do believe that two years is the right term length and I also believe that term limits should be imposed.
I agree with putting term limits on members of Congress.
I don't know many jokes but my father used to tell us kids a "Dirty joke" and he would say "want to hear a dirty joke? Three white horses fell in the mud. The end." Typical dad joke...
Yes I do believe compromise is necessary for policy making.
This would play a critical role in my priorities! We need money for climate change, education, infrastructure and so much more!
The U.S. House should use its investigative powers to eliminate corruption from our government and hold those accountable for taking advantage of the American people's trust.
Friends and family, Citizens of Massachusetts 1st Congressional District.
I'm interested in ALL of the committees in Congress
My views on financial transparency and government accountability is that its CRITICAL to a function government and building back the trust in the American people. Its not impossible, we just need to stop electing those who only care about their bank accounts.
