An effort to recall Anthony Cogliandro in Acton, Maine from his position as a Selectman was launched in 2010. Cogliandro was successfully recalled.[1][2]

William Lotz was a leader in the recall effort. He organized a petition drive to collect 172 signatures to force the recall election. The petition gave as reasons for seeking the recall, "Failure to model appropriate, professional and respectful leadership behavior ... resulting in discord, disunity and a hostile and intimidating environment."[2]
