Anthony Daniels
Anthony Daniels (Democratic Party) is a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 53. He assumed office on November 5, 2014. His current term ends on November 4, 2026.
Daniels (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Alabama's 2nd Congressional District. He lost in the Democratic primary runoff on April 16, 2024.
Daniels began serving as Alabama House of Representatives Minority Leader on February 8, 2017.[1]
Biography
Daniels' professional experience includes teaching elementary school and co-owning a dental practice.[2]

Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Anthony Daniels was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Elbert Peters (R) withdrew on April 1, 2014, after realizing he did not live in the district.[3]. Christian Horn (R) was selected to replace Peters on April 7, 2014. Daniels then defeated Horn in the general election on November 4, 2014.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
