Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 68 percent of the vote. He competed against David Lee Engler.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Carol Ann Robb. [1][2]

Career

Donofrio serves as the deputy law director for Youngstown, Ohio. He has previously worked as an assistant county prosecutor for Mahoning County and as an attorney in private practice.[4]
