|My career in business has included research, analysis, and audit services. In government, I worked in community outreach.
My fiance and I decided to make our home in Yorba Linda, where I'm a dedicated volunteer, serving as:
Traffic Commissioner, City of Yorba Linda President, Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation Board Member, Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Co-Chair, Love Yorba Linda President-Elect, Yorba Linda Sunrise RotaryWith experience in the public and private sectors, I know what it takes to run a city government more like a business.
- If you elect me as your Councilmember, I'll fight to support our public safety partners by making sure they have the tools and resources they need to keep us safe and to continue to keep us safe and combat rising theft, burglaries, and other crimes. I'm dedicated to working with your residents, businesses, and Sheriff's Deputies to expand and enhance our Neighborhood Watch and Business Safety Watch programs to prevent crime. As a resident living in eastern Yorba Linda, I am dedicated to strengthening Yorba Linda's wildfire evacuation plan to ensure our residents can get out more quickly and safely when major fires threaten our city.
- I firmly advocate for retaining decision-making authority within the jurisdiction of our local government and elected representatives – individuals who possess a unique understanding of the needs and aspirations of our community. As such, I’m dedicated to preserving the autonomy of Yorba Linda and will actively confront attempts from the California Legislature that seek to advance policies that strip communities like ours of our rightful voice.
- I am committed to streamlining the business permitting process to make it more efficient and accessible for everyone. By enhancing our partnership with the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce, we can build a stronger, more supportive network for local businesses. My experience as a Chamber Board Member and President of the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation has equipped me with the knowledge and dedication to invest in economic and workforce development, ensuring that our community thrives. By enhancing engagement, we can address the specific needs of our community and cultivate an environment conducive to growth.
First and foremost, I am a dedicated and results-driven leader. While serving as Traffic Commissioner, President-Elect of the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary, and a former Board Member of the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce, I've learned that leadership is more than just making decisions. It's about solving problems and delivering tangible results for the people you serve. I will approach every challenge with a clear focus on outcomes that benefit our residents.
Secondly, I believe in integrity and transparency. Elected officials must always act in the best interest of their community, and I am committed to ensuring that decisions are made openly and honestly. My service record reflects my belief that public officials must be accountable to the people they represent, and I will continue to be a voice for transparency and ethical governance.
Finally, my collaborative nature ensures that I work well with others. I understand the value of partnerships and bringing people together—whether working with local businesses, residents, or government agencies. No issue can be solved in isolation, and I am committed to seeking input and working with others to find practical, long-term solutions for Yorba Linda.
Transparency in budgeting, spending, and financial decision-making must be a top priority. Elected officials and public agencies must furnish clear, easily accessible information about how resources are managed. This includes prompt reporting of financial audits, budget proposals, and spending reports, enabling residents to effectively hold their representatives accountable.
Government accountability goes hand in hand with transparency. Accountability means taking ownership of decisions, correcting mistakes, and ensuring that those in power act in the public's best interest. Through open communication, regular audits, and clear standards of performance, we can build a government that works for everyone. We need systems in place to ensure that misuse or mismanagement of funds is identified and corrected immediately.
