Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a father who is looking to help Change the outlook of the Birmingham School board to help make it better for the students. I also want to get more parents involved in their child's education. My slogan is to Guild a child through school not to school. We want the children to truly be the future and not the past.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Transparency. I will make sure that the parents be in the know of what the school and the school board is doing for their child.
• Involvement. I want the parents to be more involved with not only their child but let's be involved in the school also.
• Love. I want our children to know that they are great, and we appreciate them and the effort that they show.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

absentee, Parent Participation. Making sure that we have more parents involved in our child's education and making sure that when they are missing school that they have excuses.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to men like My uncles. My Pastor. They have the example that GOD is always first in all that we do.

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

Bible. Do unto other as you would have them to do unto you

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

transparency. you have to be in order for it to work. I am working for the people, and I think people get in office and forget that

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I am a fighter for those that can't fight for themselves

To listen to the people who put you there and understand that you were once them.

That GOD never fails so trust in him in all you do

9/11. I was 25 years old

Clothing Store. I had it until it went out of business

What is the primary job of a school board member in your view?

To make sure the day-to-day operations of the school board are running smooth.

Who are your constituents?

the voters and the children

How would you support the diverse needs of your district’s students, faculty, staff, and community?

I will be committed to working closely with them to make sure that the children, faculty, staff and Community are safe and involve with each other.

How will you build relationships with members of the broader community? Which groups, organizations, stakeholders will you specifically target?

by going to Neighborhood meeting, meeting with city officials and business owners in the area to help the community in any way that the law will allow me to.

What constitutes good teaching? How will you measure this? How will you support advanced teaching approaches?

good teaching is engaging the child making it understandable for all.

In what areas would you like to expand curriculum? For example, do you see a need for advanced technical training or apprenticeships? What sort of innovative programming would you advance if given the opportunity?

I think the stem program is working and we just need to expand it

What strategies or plans would you advance to ensure the schools are properly funded?

I would look for grants to expand program s and meet with state and federal officials to get them

Parental involvement because it starts at home

getting them educated in mental health and how to recognize it.

None. I have an organization I Started it is Birmingham Alliance for Equitable Education (BAEE)

Describe your ideal learning environment for students.

My learning environment for students is making it fun to learn and a child not wanting to leave because learning is fun again. that is a lasting impact on a child

How do you feel like your school district handled the coronavirus pandemic? What, if anything, would you do differently in the future?

They handle it the best way they could. I would talk with my colleges and come up with a plan to put in place for it.

What will you do to build a relationship with parents in the district?

Have meeting to get them involve and see what they are needing from me in the district.

What are your preferred strategies for faculty, staff, and administration recruitment?

To work with them to come up with a plan to get more recruits. sometimes it is about listen and learning from those that are there in the field

What are your views on financial transparency and government accountability?

You should know where your tax dollars are going, and this is why i am a strong believer in being transparent.
