Write-in status
Trujillo was one of two candidates who qualified to run a write-in campaign.[2] If only one write-in candidate had filed to run, then he or she would have needed to receive not only the highest number of votes, but also a number of votes equal to the number of signatures required to appear on the ballot.[2] However, because two candidates filed to run in district 10, the candidate receiving the most amount of votes will win.
