Anthony Ligi is a former Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He has represented the 79th District from 2008-2013.

Ligi announced on December 14, 2012 that he will be resigning his seat on January 1, 2013 to become executive director and chief legal counsel for the Jefferson Business Council.[1]

Ligi is an attorney and real estate title insurance agent. He received his J.D. from the Loyola University School of Law, and B.A. in political science from Mansfield University.

Ligi is a member of the Jefferson Parish Legislative Delegation, and the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation.[2]

On October 22, 2011, Ligi won re-election to District 79 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He ran unopposed in the October 22 primary, assuring his re-election.
