Anthony Navarro
Anthony Navarro was a judge of the Colorado Court of Appeals. He assumed office on January 21, 2013. He left office on January 13, 2025.
Democratic Governor John Hickenlooper appointed Navarro to the court in October 2012. Navarro was sworn in on January 21, 2013.[1]
Biography
Education
Navarro received his B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1993 and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1996.[1]
Career
Navarro began his legal career practicing corporate and securities law with the San Francisco law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. In 1997, he began a clerkship with Colorado Supreme Court Justice Alex Martinez. In 1999, after his clerkship, Navarro joined the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, where he worked as an assistant attorney general in the Consumer Protection Section before joining the Appellate Division. Navarro joined the Denver law firm of Holland & Hart LLP in 2005. From 2008 until his 2013 judicial appointment, he was a supervisory attorney in the Social Security Administration’s Office of the General Counsel in Denver.[1]
