I am currently 22 years old and the youngest candidate running for Vigo County Commissioner.
I was born and raised in West Terre Haute and attended West Vigo High School where I wrestled for 14 years and later became a collegiate athlete.
I am finishing up my Bachelors degree in Political Science at Indiana State University where I have obtained diverse experience in politics.
I am networked nation wide with 5 conservative organizations.
I have worked in various local businesses through out my college career and have interned for the Indiana House Republicans and Congressman Buschon's office.
Currently I am the Secretary of the Vigo County Republican Party and work at the Vigo County Voter Registration Office.- Fiscal responsibility & efficient government: With this, I simply mean utilizing taxpayer dollars to maximize tax payer dollar’s impact on the community. Ensuring there is accountability and forthcomingness, fair and equal treatment of those that simply ask questions of our elected officials. Finding common ground to solve problems and not attacking those with different or new ideas. Making sure the government is here to benefit the people and not hurt it by working together to bring about meaningful change by addressing critical issues such as the housing crisis, utilization of arpa, ensuring low taxes, and breaking free from bureaucratic bottlenecks and petty disagreements. We must ensure government works for the people.
- Supporting local businesses and the workforce: With this, I want to ensure we are providing the necessary resources to help ensure our local businesses are thriving. Without a strong local business we don’t have a community. For the workforce, we must ensure we are putting our local workers first and not backstabbing them. With out a strong local workforce there is no middle class. Transparency is key, and we must ensure we work with local investors and work to find new investors from the outside.
- Upholding law, order, and community values: With this, we need to continue providing the necessary tools and money to ensure we have a safe community where families don’t have to worry about their kids simply going outside and playing in the yard. We need to continue to fight crime and figure out innovative solutions to end the drug crisis. And finally upholding community values means putting family first. Without family there wouldn’t be a Vigo county. We must make sure we are finding ways to make families thrive with different activities for families to do or have for their children.
My vision is to create a vibrant Vigo County that excels in economic, effective governance, and social sectors, making it a model for rural innovation and community well-being. Moreover, I aspire to ignite a spirit of leadership within our residents. By fostering an environment that values collaboration, encourages civic participation, and nurtures future leaders, I aim to inspire a new generation to step forward with the courage and creativity needed to address our challenges and seize opportunities.
