The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Anthony Scott Harman was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Bryan Simonaire was unopposed in the Republican primary. Simonaire defeated Harman in the general election.[1][2][3]
