Anthony Williams was the District 1 representative on the Nevada System of Higher Education Regents in Nevada. He was appointed to the position on April 24, 2018, to replace former officeholder Cedric Crear, whose seat became vacant after Crear was elected to represent Ward 5 on the Las Vegas City Council.[1] Williams did not seek election to keep the seat on November 6, 2018.

Biography

Williams is a U.S. Navy veteran. He began serving as vice president of facility operations for MGM Resorts International’s Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in April 2016. His professional experience includes serving as vice president of engineering operations from April 2013 to April 2016, as vice president of property operations for Excalibur/Luxor Hotel and Casino from July 2008 to March 2013, and as corporate regional director of facilities for American Casino and Entertainment Properties from June 2003 to July 2008.[2]
