North Dakota: The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of Michael Reed for possessing a firearm and ammunition whilst running as a fugitive from justice. Reed reportedly left Nevada while there was a warrant out for his arrest and went to North Dakota, where he was able to acquire a firearm and ammunition. He was then sentenced to 18 months in prison and convicted in January, 2010. The federal circuit court upheld the ruling and rejected Reed's claims that he evidence failed to show he possessed the firearm and ammunition.[1]
