April Farris
April Farris is a judge for Place 3 of the Texas Fifteenth District Court of Appeals. She assumed office on September 1, 2024. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Farris (Republican Party) is running for re-election for the Place 3 judge of the Texas Fifteenth District Court of Appeals. She is on the ballot in the Republican primary on March 3, 2026.[source]
Farris was appointed on June 11, 2024, by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) to the newly created Texas Fifteenth Court of Appeals.[1]
Biography
Education
Farris received a bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University in 2006 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2009.[2]
Career
Before her appointment to the Texas Court of Appeals, Farris was a partner at Yetter Coleman LLP. Previously, she's served as an assistant solicitor general for the state of Texas and clerked for Judge Jennifer Elrod on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.[2]
