April M. Griffin
April M. Griffin was a member of the Alachua County Public Schools school board in Florida, representing District 1. Griffin assumed office in 2010. Griffin left office in 2018.
Griffin ran for re-election to the Alachua County Public Schools school board to represent District 1 in Florida. Griffin won in the general election on August 26, 2014.
Biography
Griffin earned a B.A. in education from the University of Florida. She worked as a middle school teacher in the district before joining the board. At the time of her service on the school board, Griffin and her husband, Kevin, had three children who attended district schools.[1]

2014
The August 26, 2014, general election in Alachua County featured three seats up for election. Incumbent Gunnar F. Paulson faced and defeated challenger Philoron A. Wright in the District 3 race. Rob Hyatt and Jancie Vinson sought to replace Carol Oyenarte, who did not file for re-election in District 5. Hyatt won the vacated seat. District 1 incumbent April M. Griffin won re-election without opposition for a second term in the District 1 seat.
Funding
Griffin reported $7,120 in contributions and $2,403.23 in expenditures to the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections, as of July 24, 2014.[2]
