Ari Abraham Porth is a Criminal Division judge of the Seventeenth Circuit Court of Florida. He was elected in 2012 and his current term expires in January of 2019.[1]

Porth did not provide answers to the Florida State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test informs voters how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[5]

Porth's sponsored legislation includes:

  • HB 45 - "Traffic Infractions: Provides surcharge on noncriminal moving traffic violations; provides for proceeds from such surcharge to be used to fund cost of civil traffic infraction hearing officers."
  • HB 139 - "Driving Restrictions: Revises age restrictions on issuance of driver's licenses by DHSMV; prohibits issuance of driver's license to person under certain age unless driver education requirements are met; prohibits person under certain age from operating motor vehicle with more than one passenger & from operating motor vehicle during certain times"
  • HB 889 - "Highway Safety: Creates "Deputy Michael Callin, Michael Haligowski, & Deputy Ryan C. Porth ran for re-election to the 96th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the August 24 primary. Porth defeated Jason Weakley (Tea party) in the general election held November 2, 2010.[6]
