Porth ran for re-election to the 96th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the August 24 primary. Porth defeated Jason Weakley (Tea party) in the general election held November 2, 2010.[6]

In 2008, Porth won re-election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 96th District. Porth ran unopposed in the election. He raised $50,176 for his campaign.[7]
