Campaign website

Hakamiz’s campaign website stated the following:

Stop Rising Prices
Under the current administration, Americans have seen their purchasing power and lifestyles eroded by a dramatic rise in prices across the board. Not since the failed presidency of Jimmy Carter have we seen inflation like this. Politicians blame COVID, supply chains and even climate change. They blame everything but themselves and their failed policies. As your Congresswoman, I pledge to NEVER vote for pork barrel projects and continuing resolutions, which have exploded the debt and deficit. Families must live within a budget. So, too, should the Government.

Fight Rampant Crime
Crime has been on the rise since before the start of the pandemic. As Washington has been working to handicap our men and women in blue we’ve seen more and more criminal activity. We don’t need social workers—we need heroes to protect our neighborhoods, our playgrounds, and most importantly our children. I support the recall of LA District Attorney George Gascon and his “no cash bail” policy, the San Francisco DA, and any politician who would rather coddle criminals than protect residents. As your Congresswomen, I’ll never vote to defund the police. I will defend the police.

Support California Parents
The time has come when we as Americans must recognize our parental rights have been ignored long enough. We need to empower parents toward greater freedom to educate their children. We need School Choice, we need an end to the Governmental School gulag that warehouses, not educates our children. I strongly support School Choice in California and for children across America, regardless of race, creed, or financial ability. On my first day in office, I will sign and support the Education Freedom Scholarships and Opportunity Act to arm our kids with tools they need to succeed.

Clean Up Streets
The plight of the homeless has been used by politicians to gain wealth, influence and power. Our once pristine neighborhoods and parks are decaying. Instead of complaining, we must combat the problem at its root cause: substance abuse, mental illness and the politicians who profit from it. As your Representative, I’ll help develop a national strategy to alleviate these root causes. I’ll work to make it illegal to camp on our streets. Plus, I’ll help create treatment programs for substance abuse and mental illness—while helping people find work and a purpose in life.

Strengthen our Borders
We must protect the sanctity of our borders. At the same time, we must work to ensure that immigrants who want to come to America may do so. They can seek out the American Dream, contribute to our society, and ultimately live in prosperity. To achieve this, we must have smart and safe policy that protects immigrants as well as citizens here at home. This will also help stop the flow of drugs and weapons that are now pouring across our border. As your Congresswoman, I will push for common sense policy that protects everyone.

Regain Energy Independence
Just a few years ago, the US was energy independent and enjoyed historically low energy prices. Now, due to current policies, we are energy dependent and energy costs are at a 15-year-high. Once again, we are reliant on hostile foreign nations to meet our energy needs. We must pursue an all-of-the above energy policy where we leverage alternative and renewable sources as well as expanded domestic production—including natural gas. While we are pursuing energy innovation, we must ensure that America is never again compromised and weakened by our adversaries.[4]
