Arizona Proposition 301 was on the ballot as a veto referendum in Arizona on November 5, 1968. It was approved.

A "yes" vote supported providing for three and five-member Boards of Supervisors in counties that have populations less than or more than 200,000, respectively; providing for changes and procedures for changes; requiring redistricting every four years; providing for the appointment of a Country Reapportionment Committee and requiring court supervision of said committee.

A "no" vote opposed providing for three and five-member Boards of Supervisors in counties that have populations less than or more than 200,000, respectively; providing for changes and procedures for changes; requiring redistricting every four years; providing for the appointment of a Country Reapportionment Committee and requiring court supervision of said committee.

AN ACT RELATING TO COUNTIES; PROVIDING FOR FIVE MEMBERS ON COUNTY BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS IN COUNTIES HAVING A POPULATION OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND OR MORE; PROVIDING FOR THREE MEMBERS ON COUNTY BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS IN COUNTIES HAVING A POPULATION OF LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND; PROVIDING PROCEDURE FOR CHANGES TO OR FROM FIVE-MEMBER BOARDS IN COUNTIES HAVING A POPULATION OF LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND; PROVIDING FOR REDISTRICTING EACH FOUR YEARS; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A COUNTY REAPPORTIONMENT COMMITTEE WHICH SHALL HAVE AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS; PROVIDING FOR APPEAL OF DETERMINATION BY COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR COURT ACTION IF COMMITTEE FAILS TO MAKE A DETERMINATION; PROVIDING THAT IN 1968 ELECTION TWO MEMBERS OF FIVE-MEMBER BOARDS SHALL BE ELECTED AT LARGE, AND AMENDING SECTION 11-211 AND 11-212, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES.

In Arizona, the number of signatures required for a veto referendum is equal to 5 percent of the votes cast at the preceding gubernatorial election. Proponents of the veto referendum had 90 days from the date that the bill was signed to collect signatures.
