The Arizona Dual-Language Education Measure was not on the ballot in Arizona as a legislatively referred state statute on November 8, 2022.

The ballot measure would have repealed Proposition 203 (2000), which required sheltered English immersion (SEI) for students learning English. Under Arizona's SEI requirement, classroom education and curriculum material for English learners was in English.[1]

The ballot measure would have allowed school districts and charter schools to establish dual-language immersion programs for both native and nonnative English speakers.[1]

On January 28, 2021, the Arizona House of Representatives approved the ballot measure in a vote of 58 to 1. The proposal did not receive a vote in the Senate.[1]
