Arizona Green Party ballot access case may close soon
January 12, 2010
PHOENIX, Arizona: The Arizona Green Party may find out during the week of January 15, 2010 if they are cleared to use circulators from out-of-state to help collect signatures to help their candidates gain ballot access for the 2010 election cycle.[1]
The state of Arizona defended its existing residency requirement, saying that there is no enforcement procedure to stop out-of-state circulators from working on petitions. According to reports, a decision from the U.S. District Court is likely to be handed down by the end of this week.
