Arizona Green Party ballot access case may close soon

PHOENIX, Arizona: The Arizona Green Party may find out during the week of January 15, 2010 if they are cleared to use circulators from out-of-state to help collect signatures to help their candidates gain ballot access for the 2010 election cycle.

The state of Arizona defended its existing residency requirement, saying that there is no enforcement procedure to stop out-of-state circulators from working on petitions. According to reports, a decision from the U.S. District Court is likely to be handed down by the end of this week.
