The Arizona Property Tax Exemption for Disabled Veterans Amendment was not on the ballot in Arizona as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 8, 2022.[1]

The ballot measure would have added a new section to Article 9 of the Arizona Constitution on residential property tax exemptions for disabled veterans and their surviving spouses.[1]

The ballot measure would have provided that the primary residence of a veteran with a total (100%), service-connected disability, as determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, or who is legally blind is exempt from property taxation. If the totally disabled or legally blind veteran dies, the tax exemption would have applied to the veteran's unmarried surviving spouse.[1]

If a veteran had a service-related disability of 10% or greater, but was not totally disabled, their primary residence would have been eligible for a $5,000 exemption from the property's total assessment.[1]
