The 3rd Congressional District of Arkansas held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 8, 2016.
Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Steve Womack (R) ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 1, 2016. Womack defeated Libertarian party candidate Steve Isaacson in the general election on November 8, 2016. No Democratic candidates filed to run for the seat.[4][5]

Incumbent: Heading into the election the incumbent was Steve Womack (R), who was first elected in 2010.
The 3rd Congressional District is located in northwestern Arkansas. Benton, Boone, Carroll, Marion, Pope, and Washington counties as well as portions of Crawford, Newton, Searcy, and Sebastian counties are included in the boundaries of the district.[8]
