The Arkansas County Official Term Limits Amendment was not on the 2016 election ballot in Arkansas as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment.
The measure would have increased term limits for county officials from two to four years and provide that county officers shall not be appointed or elected to a civil office during their elected term.[1]

Section 22, Article 19, of the Arkansas Constitution says that a majority vote is required in both houses of the Arkansas Legislature in order to send a measure to the ballot.
The Arkansas Legislature did not take action on the bill; therefore, the measure failed to make the ballot.
