Elections for the Arkansas House of Representatives were held on November 2, 2010. Seats in all 100 districts were on the ballot.
The signature filing deadline was March 8, 2010, and the primary election was May 18, 2010.
In Arkansas, representatives serve two-year terms with a three-term limit.
The incumbent representative ran for re-election in 60 of the 100 state house seats that were up for election in 2010 (60% of races).
As a result of the 2010 election, Democrats lost 16 seats and Republicans gained 17.

The Arkansas State Senate has been a term-limited state senate since Arkansas voters approved the Arkansas Term Limits Initiative in 1992 as an initiated constitutional amendment.
There are 35 Arkansas State Senators. In 2010, 13 members were ineligible to run due to term limits. They were:

Forty-four incumbents (73.33%) faced no competition in the November 2 general election.
- Twenty-six Democratic incumbents faced no November challenger.
- Eighteen GOP incumbents faced no November challenger.
Primary challenges
Three incumbents faced competition in the May 18 primary. One incumbent, Democrat Richard Carroll, lost to his challenger, Tracy Steele. The following two incumbents (1 Democrat, 1 Republican) won their primaries:
- District 13: Incumbent Democrat Clark Hall
- District 64: Incumbent Republican Stephanie Malone
Retiring incumbents
Five eligible incumbent representatives did not run for re-election, while 60 eligible incumbents (92.31%) ran for re-election. The remaining 34 incumbents were ineligible to run due to the term limits of the Arkansas House of Representatives. Of the five incumbents who did not seek re-election, three were Democrats and two were Republicans.

Qualifications
Article 5, Section 4 of the Arkansas Constitution states: No person shall be a Senator or Representative who, at the time of his election, is not a citizen of the United States, nor anyone who has not been for two years next preceding his election, a resident of this State, and for one year next preceding his election, a resident of the county or district whence he may be chosen. Senators shall be at least twenty-five years of age, and Representatives at least twenty-one years of age.
